A time for creative rest

Outside the peak summer months, Maison des Aigles becomes a dedicated space for creative work, reflection, and renewal. Our mini-sabbaticals are offered between October and June at a special rate by application.

Concept

A sabbatical is a period set apart from ordinary life — an extended period in which you can travel and work intentionally on something that is not your routine job with minimal financial pressure.

Maison des Aigles offers a compact version of this: a period of between one and four weeks in which you can step back to refresh yourself while making progress on a creative project. You will have the option of support to help you think about how to use the time wisely to meet the needs of the moment you are in.

If this sounds like what you need, Maison des Aigles is ready to welcome you. You’ll have the whole house to yourself, free from obligations. Partners or guests are welcome too — we just need to know in advance.

Cost

Mini-sabbaticals are currently available on the following basis:

• One week - €500

• Two weeks - €750

• Three weeks - €1,000

• Four weeks - €1,250

Electricity is charged at cost, based on meter readings. The house is warmed by an efficient wood burner during cooler months. There is also a small tourist tax to pay, and we ask for a refundable security deposit of €300.

Your mini-sabbatical begins with a short application form.

We ask a little about who you are, what motivates you to apply, and what you hope to focus on during your time here. This helps us understand whether Maison des Aigles is right for you at this moment.

We review applications as they come in, and respond within a few days.
